Home Learning

As we draw near to the end of our World War One topic, year 6 created some brilliant projects at home. We had a range of types of work, such as:

  • Models.
  • Diaries.
  • Letters.
  • Quizzes.
  • Biographies.
  • Art work.
  • Fact Files.

I am surprised (in a good way) at the amount of effort so many of you put in! Well done to everyone.

Below are many images of some of the great work – sadly couldn’t get all of them on!

  1. I liked all of them but my best one was Hannah and Sarah the thing I like is from Hannah’s is that I like Hannah’s painting and it was really amazing of Hannah painting it was very very amazing well done Hannah. The thing about Sarah’s it had lots of facts also I really like the medal of Sarah’s because they are really nice and I think a artist did that If you done that art you will be a natraul and that is why I like Hannah and Sarah well done you two.

  2. Hollie,George and Sarah
    what we did:

Sarah – For my home learning i wrote a fact file on Siegfried Sassoon.
Hollie – for my home learning i did a biography on C.S Lewis (Clive Staples Lewis )
George – For my home learning i made a family tree, a information sheet about my great great Grandad Albert Allan.

    what impressed us:

Sarah – Hannah’s home learning impressed me the most(not because she’s my friend) because her drawing were really good. you could tell she put a lot of work into it and spent lots of time doing them. She also impressed me with her diary entries, they were very descriptive and life like.

Hollie – I liked Lauren cox’s home learning because you could tell she spent a lot of time researching and doing it.

George – I liked George’s because of his creative presentation.

  3. Lily did a power point about Walter Tull. It took about 5 days to do but her computer broke so it took longer. Selin made a biography on her great great granddad called Thomas Charles Roffe. She also did a drawing of a German gun. Selin was impressed by Alexandra’s home learning because it looked like she had taken a lot of time on it. Lily was impressed by George’s home learning because it looked amazing and his presentation was outstanding too with the idea of the teabag burnt look! To work fast and to work effectively but take pride in it and make sure it’s at an expectable standard. Also, all the skills like literacy and art skills went up!
